Christianity and Islam facts as reported by one site

Don't ask me why, but I'm suddenly thinking about religion again. Not in the "finally swallowing the kool-aid" sense, but more of the position that I'd like to know what all the fuss is about. As far as I'm concerned, there's only one major problem in the world, and that is the growing conflict between Islam and other religions. It's enough to make me start wondering why it is that these two groups can't get along.

That site pretty much sums up what I initially thought: ignoring the small subtleties, the major religions are almost identical in their messages and practices. If I am to believe that a major conflict in the world today stems from a religious problem, then I must also be able to believe that pigs will fly out of my brown eye. In short: something is driving some people to be dicks, and it sure isn't God.
